Rob Melosky
Coach Melosky is excited to be returning
for his second year as Head Coach for the Nazareth Blue Eagle Football Program. He
was the Offensive Coordinator for Bethlehem Catholic for two years. Melosky went to Bethlehem Catholic from Lehigh
University where he served under the former Lehigh Coach Pete Lembo and
helped the Mountain Hawks in 2005 to an 8-3 season and an overall #22 ranking in the Sports Network’s final regular
season poll. Before his stint at Lehigh, Coach Melosky was the Head Football
Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Parkland High School from 2001-2004. In 2002, he led the Trojan’s to a 14-1 season and
an AAAA State Championship, the first ever District XI history. Melosky was recognized as Pennsylvania Scholastic Football
Coaches Association AAAA Coach of the Year in 2002. Among the Trojan players
he coached was Division 1 athlete Austin Scott, a 2002 Parade All American.
Before becoming the Head Coach at
Parkland High School, Melosky coached at
Freedom High School located in Bethlehem, Pa. Rob was the Varsity Offensive
Coordinator from 1994-1999 and became the Head Coach on 2000. During his tenure, he established the “Black and Gold
Gridiron Club” as a financial support system for team events.
Prior to his time at Freedom High School, Melosky was the varsity quarterbacks
and receivers coach at Emmaus High School
in nearby Emmaus, Pa. He
was also a junior varsity assistant coach at Rowan University
in Glassboro, New Jersey
where he received his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education in 1993. In 1997, he earned his Masters Degree from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre,
Pa and is currently employed by the Nazareth
Area School District as a Physical
Education Teacher.
Rob and his wife Kathleen reside
in Northampton, Pa along
with their two children: Jonathan age 10 and Claudia age 12.
FOOTBALL COACHING STAFF
Bill Brong: Coach Brong
is the offensive line coach and defensive coordinator. He is a 1974 graduate of Pleasant Valley High
School and a graduate of Mansfield State College and East
Stroudsburg University. Bill
was the Head football Coach at Lehighton High
School for seven years and assistant for 22 years. Currently, Bill is teaching Social Studies
in the Lehighton Area
School District and has also taught Psychology, Federal Government and
American History. Bill and his wife Susan reside in Lehighton, Pa. They have a son, Kyle who is currently attending Dartmouth
College and two daughters, Julie, who is attending at Northeastern and Christina
who is attending Temple.
David Parsons: Coach Parsons is an Assistant Varsity coach this year. He coached for 29 years at Lehighton Area School District. He was an assistant coach for 9 years and Head Coach for 20 years.
He was also an Assistant linebacker coach at Muhlenberg College for 2 years. Dave lives in Easton with his wife
Sandra and their sons, Chad and Todd.
Thomas Edwards
Sr.: Coach Edwards is a 1970 graduate of North Schuylkill High School. Tom’s coaching
experience includes Elementary wrestling at North Schuylkill 1970-1976, Head wrestling coach at Tamaqua from 1984-1991; Asst.
Football coach at Tamaqua for 2 years, and 7 years at Mount Carmel Are with 4 State Championships, 1 State Runner-up, 5 District
Championships, 2 District runner-up and 1 Eastern Conference Championship. This year will mark the 10th season
of coaching for the Blue Eagles. He is employed by the Nazareth Area School District
as the IN-House Suspension Coordinator. Tom and his wife Susan have three children,
Thomas, Lori and Chad and a granddaughter,
Skylar.
Shawn Martell: Coach Martell is an Assistant Coach for WRs and
Corners. This is his second year with the Blue Eagles. Shawn played and lettered
for 4 years at Moravian College.
He coached for 1 year at Moravian College. Shawn Resides in Bethlehem.
His parents are Gary and Barbara and he has 3 sisters, Colleen, Erin and Maureen and a brother Ryan.
Dan Muir: Coach Muir is a varsity assistant coach this year. He is a 1995 graduate of Pleasant
Valley High School, a graduate of Pennsylvania State University
and Wilkes University. Dan was an assistant varsity coach at Pleasant
Valley High School for 10 years.
Currently, Dan and his wife Lynn reside in Kresgeville, PA.
They have two children Ella and Brodie.
Vinnie Andrews: Coach Andrews is a 2003 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. And a 2007 graduate of Albright
College where he lettered for 4 years and was Captain his senior year.
Shawn received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology/Sociology. Shawn is currently employed as a Mental Health worker
through the CLIU #21. Shawn currently resides in Lehighton.
Jimmy Trainello: Coach Trainello is an Assistant Varsity coach this
year. He brings 8 years of coaching experience with him, 6 years with the Lower Nazareth Wildcats and 2 years with the freshman
team at Nazareth High School. Jim resides in Nazareth with his wife Roseanne
and their children, Anthony and Katie.
Joseph Spitale: Coach Spitale is the new Head Coach for the Blue
Eagles Freshman squad. He has 29 years of coaching experience that includes 5 seasons as a Head coach at Southern Lehigh and
Palisades High School and 4 seasons as the
Defensive Line Coach at Muhlenberg College. Joe is a 1980 graduate of East Stroudsburg University and earned his B.S. Degree in Health/Phys
Ed and in 1988 earned his Graduate Degree from Wilkes University. Joe is presently in his 27th
year as a Health and Phys Ed Teacher for the Wilson School District.
David Lutte: Coach
Lutte is the new Head Coach for the Middle School team. David is a Kutztown
University graduate. He coached at Dieruff High School for 18 years. Coach Lutte is presently teaching at Saucon
Valley High School. He resides
in Allentown with his wife Amy and their 2 sons, Hunter (10
years) and Mitchell (9 years).
Mike Cebrosky: Coach Cebrosky is a first year coach on the Blue
Eagles staff. Mike is a 2003 graduate of Lehighton Area High School,
was a three year letter winner, two time all Conference Offense and Defensive line, and AP All-State Offensive Line. Mike
attended Delaware Valley
College where he was a 4 year started at Left Guard and Tackle. He helped take his team to two conference titles and an ECAC title. Mike is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. He currently resides in Jim
Thorpe.
William K.
Burch Sr.: Coach Burch is a first
year coach at Nazareth. He brings 19 years of High School
coaching experience to the Blue Eagle program. He will be an Assistant Coach for the Middle School team. William is married to his wife Jean and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. William is a self-employed
contractor at Burch Drywall and General Contracting, est. 1980.
Andre Jordan: Coach Jordan
is a first year coach at Nazareth. He is 1991 graduate of
Northampton High School
where he lettered in football. He attended Kutztown University. Over the past couple of seasons, he coached at Bethlehem Catholic High school
where he coached the Running backs and returnee’s on the Varsity squad. Andre
resides in Salisbury with his wife Deanna and their children.
Matt Burch: Coach
Burch is a first year coach in the Blue Eagles football program. Matt is a 2004 graduate of Dieruff High School and earned 7 Varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball. He was
also Captain of the football team, was chosen to participate in the McDonalds All-Star game in 2004 and was the football Scholar
athlete his senior year. Matt graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology
and a certified Health and Physical Education Teacher. Matt was born, raised
and still resides on the east side of Allentown.
Travis Ressler: Coach
Ressler is a life-long resident of Nazareth. Travis started
his football career as an Upper Nazareth Clipper. A 2009 graduate of Nazareth
High school, Travis was a center, nose guard and Defensive tackle over
his career as a Blue Eagle. Travis was awarded an opportunity to mentor under
Coach Melosky because he knew his positions well and would be able to help the younger players learn the Defensive line. Travis
will be attending Penn State
University to major in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History.
